Why did you start your business?

 

I started my business right after my mom was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. I needed a creative outlet/stress reliever, and also made it my mission to create candles that were non-toxic and clean burning so we could feel comfortable with my mom burning them throughout her treatments. She loves candles but they were always giving her a headache, so after some research, i was able to come up with a solution: start my own clean candle line! On top of being clean burning and additive free- I also use all eco friendly and recyclable materials in an effort to reduce my footprint and give back a portion of proceeds to Seattle Cancer Care Alliance (the hospital taking care of my mother) I love being creative, mixing scents, and providing my customers with clean options and education around candles.

Do you have any goals or plans for you business in the next 5 years?

My goal is to grow my business to a point where I am doing it full time! I would also like to donate $5,000 to SCCA.
