pickled red onions

Updated: Mar 14, 2022

this easy pickled red onions recipe is a perfect weekly staple to keep in the fridge. we love to add them to salads, sandwiches, and buddha bowls for a tangy, crunchy addition.

typically when we think pickles, we think about cucumbers but technically anything pickled is a pickle. and while we ponder that, you need to jump on making these pickled red onions. raw onions are strong, especially on a salad or sandwich. but when pickled, you get that same crunch factor but more of a tang. pickles, like these pickled red onions, are great on anything really rich. the acidity in the vinegar really cuts and brings additional flavors to burgers or a sandwich with a good amount of cheese. these pickled red onions can also be used to brighten up a salad or a classic turkey sandwich.
